The Four Minute-Mile (2-a) Mike's Mindset

My first race, I started out at my usual . But pretty soon I ran out of and I finished. I was obviously very disappointed. I kicked over some chairs, myself out, announced to everyone that I was running. I was like, Mike, you're a . You don't have what it . You never have and you never will. You might as well stop yourself.

All of a sudden Mike started his ability to run. It felt like he wasn't Mike Marsella . It was as if he had become a different person, who had very little in with the athlete that he used to be. And once Mike's changed, his running did too. he ran race after race, he never close to 4 minutes.
